The offense. This team lacks playmakers on both sides of the ball, but the defense this past season played well enough for the Browns to break even were it not for the awful offense.

Based on what Holmgren and Heckert have done the last two seasons, it is impossible to guess which direction they'll take in the draft and free agency. Don't be surprised, though, if you see a new quarterback, maybe two new quarterbacks.

The offense will be unquestionably better now that Shurmur has decided on hiring an offensive coordinator. But that's only if he allows that coordinator to call the plays. Otherwise, all bets are off.

And they must address the right side of the offensive line. Winning the trench warfare is paramount in winning football games and the Browns' offensive line was one of the worst in the league last season. If they don't do that, it'll be the same old, same old this year.

And next time, pls sign your name. And yes,...Only a milkshake? Nothing more potable?

And yes, I listened to most of it. For the most part, Holmgren spoke defensively as if he didn't like being on the hot seat. The more I see him and hear what he has to say, the less I like him and wouldn't be sad to see him return to Seattle.

His greatest asset in football is as a coach and that's not what he's doing in Cleveland. His track record as anything but a coach is highly debatable.

If the Browns struggle again next season, it wouldn't surprise me if he bolts before being eaten alive by the fans. And it'll be "here we go again" time.richpassannoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3800694504837785724.post-32251802075958693662012-01-05T15:07:41.942-07:002012-01-05T15:07:41.942-07:00richard, did you get a chance to listen to holmgre...richard, did you get a chance to listen to holmgrens presser? was wondering what your thoughts were...

betcha a milkshake the OC they hire is a bob lamont client
mikeAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
